SpineAbilene Occupational Medicine is an established Occupational Health and Medicine Program under the direction of Occupational Medicine Board Certified Physician, Dr. Richard D. Trifilo, M.D., M.P.H. Dr. Trifilo’s primary practice focuses on Work Injury and Corporate Health Wellness.

With the recent acquisition of ADC Employer Services and merging their program into ours we have greatly enhanced our services available to the corporate client. As promised, our plan is to continually offer our corporate clients needed services in the healthcare industry in order to assist you with pre-employment screening, employee health and safety maintenance, and preventative injury and health and wellness.

E-Screen Services

Rapid Urine Drug Testing are now conducted at SpineAbilene Occupational Medicine. Please send all employees to this location for E-Screen Rapid Testing. 

Audiology

  • Meets OSHA Standards

  • Capability to test in a Booth or Open Room “Quiet Room” testing.

Drug and Alcohol Screening

  • Walk-In Screenings: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm

  • *For After-Hours Urine & Alcohol Collections, please call cell number 325-513-2357.

  • Weekdays:  Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm

  • Weekends:  Friday at 5:30pm to Monday at 7:30am

  • BAT – Breath Alcohol Testing

  • E-Screen Rapid Urine Drug Screening

  • Hair Collection & Screening

  • 5-Panel or 10-Panel Rapid Non-DOT Test Cups includes Confirmation

  • (DOT or Non-DOT) Urine Drug Screening or Collections

*Post Accidents or Reasonable Suspicions only for After Hours Screenings. Additional time & mileage charge for After Hours Services.

Corporate Physicals

  • DOT Federal Mandated Physicals includes UA Dip, Whisper Test, Vision and Forms.

  • Non-DOT Physicals designed to meet the needs of job description.

  • Physical Demand Assessments designed specifically for employees’ job description.

  • Annual Employee Health Wellness Physicals

  • Fit-For-Duty; Return To Work Physical Assessments and Exams

Respiratory Exams

  • OSHA Mandated Questionnaire & Physician Exams for various types of Respiratory Exams including Asbestos, General Construction, etc.

  • Pulmonary Function Test conducted with each exam.

  • X-Ray available On-Site for Baseline or Annual Chest X-Ray Screening; Radiologist or B-Reader Available when required.

  • Respiratory Fit Testing available when requested.

Work Injury Management

  • Program designed to assist your case managers, insurance companies, and human resource managers.

  • The 24-Hour OCCMED Cell Number is 325-668-7699. The OccMed Cell is designed to open communication lines between the provider and the employer. It is set-up to assist you during clinical hours by offering immediate contact to an OccMed Staff and allow for additional communication after clinic hours and on weekends.

  • Physician Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

  • Contact our OCCMED assistant at 325-795-1888 ext. 125 or dial “O” to book immediate or next day appointments into Clinic. Please note – in order to save you and your employee valuable time and minimal waiting, we require all work injuries to be authorized by a supervisor and called in prior to arrival. Due to our specialties and various services offered at SpineAbilene our clinic is not able to handle Walk-Ins for work related injuries. HOWEVER, we will see your employee the same day or next business day pending the status of the injury.

  • Immediate  / Next Business Day Physician Appointment Into SpineAbilene Clinic

  • Acceptance of Workers' Comp Insurance (Subscriber / Non-Subscribers)

  • On-Site Ambulatory Clinic:  Available for minor injuries if the injury does not require an ER Visit. Important: Our Physicians will refer your employee immediately to the ER if the injury requires more extensive medical assistance. 

  • On-Site Physical Therapy Service with a focus on Return to Work programs for your injured employee.

  • Pulmonary Function Testing

  • Resting EKG’s; Venipuncture for Lab work; X-Ray On-Site

  • Hearing Screens; Tetanus & Flu Vaccinations
